TAK CHAN ARCHITECTURE 

A new community is planned on the west side of Calgary, south of the Trans-Canada Highway and west of Valley Ridge Boulevard. The project is positioned as a gateway development that will connect Valley Ridge, Crestmont and future communities in the area. The design concept is to create a mixed-use development that includes living, shopping, dining and entertainment facilities, enriched with inspiring landscapes and architecture. Open-air boulevards, parks and plazas will also be included to satisfy the growing needs of the region and create a social focal point. With respect to the existing natural environment, the stacked design achieves a compact development integrated with the hillside. Through environmental conservation, new parks will become a public amenity and significant lands will be permanently protected.
