TAK CHAN ARCHITECTURE
Based in Vancouver, Canada, Tak Chan Architecture is a design consultant for architecture of diverse project types including urban planning, mixed-use and commercial developments, and residential projects of various scales. With extensive international design experience, Tak Chan Architecture brings innovative visions and expertise to diverse projects through collaborative efforts with clients and other consultant teams. Completed projects spread through different countries and cities including Beijing, Calgary, Hong Kong, St. Catherines, Vancouver, Zhaoqing and others.
Born in Hong Kong, Tak M. Chan has cultivated a passion for art and design since he was young. After receiving design education at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he joined Cathay Pacific Airways for a cadet pilot program in Australia before he started his design career. Through scholarships and work experience, Tak has been exposed to diverse cultural environments across various countries including Britain, Canada and China. During his design career, Tak worked with different architects including Rick Mather Architects in London and Ettore Sottsass from Milan. He received his Master of Architecture in the University of British Columbia and became a registered architect in Canada. In Vancouver, Tak also worked with Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership and PBK Architects as an associate and participated in a wide range of project types and award winning designs. His design portfolio extends from interior design to architecture and urban planning, and covers residential, hotel, office, retail, clubhouse, theatre, arena and government sectors. Tak also served as a design panel member for the City of Vancouver.
