Tak Chan Architect
Born in Hong Kong, Tak Chan has cultivated a passion for art and design since childhood. After receiving design education at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he joined Cathay Pacific Airways for a cadet pilot program in Australia before commencing his design career. Through scholarships and work experience, Tak has been exposed to diverse cultural environments across various countries, including Britain, Canada, and China.
During his design career, he worked with renowned architects including Rick Mather Architects in London and Ettore Sottsass from Milan. He earned his Master of Architecture from the University of British Columbia and became a registered architect in Canada. In Vancouver, he also worked with Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership and PBK Architects as an associate and participated in a wide range of project types and award-winning designs. His design portfolio spans interior design, architecture, and urban planning, encompassing residential, hotel, office, retail, clubhouse, theatre, arena, and government sectors. Tak also served as a design panel member for the City of Vancouver.
